Ford 1500

Ford 1500The Ford 1500 is two-wheel (2WD) or a four-wheel (4WD) compact utility tractor from the Hundred compact series, manufactured by Japanese company Shibaura for Ford brand from 1979 to 1982. The Ford 1500 tractor is equipped with two-cylinders Shibaura LET862C diesel engine with 1.1 L, 1,134 cc (69.2 cu-in) of displacement and gear shift transmission with 12 forward and 4 reverse gears (three forward speeds, plus reverse, in four ranges).

The Ford 1500 tractor used a two-cylinder naturally-aspirated liquid-cooled diesel engine Shibaura LET862C, with 85 mm (3.35 in) of the cylinder bore and 100 mm (3.94 in.) of the piston stroke. Compression ratio rating is 21.0:1. The LET862C engine produced 20.1 PS (14.8 KW; 19.8 HP) of gross horsepower. The power rating at PTO shaft is 17.3 PS (12.7 kW; 17.0 HP). The engine used dry air cleaner and pre-heating glow plugs.

This utility tractor is equipped with gear shift transmission with 12 forward (1.1-18.3 km/h, 0.7-11.4 mph) and 4 reverse (1.2-12.7 km/h, 0.8-7.9 mph) gears. The tractor used manual steering, differential mechanical drum brakes, and live type hydraulic system.

The 1500 tractor can use the following attachments:

  • Mid-mount Ford 915 mower deck with 3-blades (cutting width: 1,520 mm (60 in.)
  • Front-mount Ford 715 snow blower with hydraulic lift (clearing width: 1,520 mm (60 in.)
  • Front-end loader Ford 770
  • Backhoe Ford 757
  • Backhoe Ford 758

The Ford 1500 used a rollover protection structure (ROPS) for operators. The tractor has a rear PTO shaft with 540 rpm, front PTO shaft was available as an option.
