Ford 5000 (1968-1976)The Ford 5000 is a 2WD row-crop tractor manufactured by Ford in Highland Park, Michigan, USA from 1965 to 1976. This second generation was manufactured from 1968 to 1976.

The Ford 5000 is equipped with one of two engines: a 4.2 L (256.0 cu·in) four-cylinder gasoline engine or a 4.2 L (256.0 cu·in) four-cylinder diesel engine and one of three transmissions: a sliding gear transmission with 8 forward and 2 reverse gears, a full powershift transmission with 10 forward and 2 reverse gears or a partial power shift transmission with 16 forward and 4 reverse gears.

  • Ford. It is a 4.2 L, 4,195 cm2, (256.0 cu·in) four-cylinder natural aspirated gasoline engine with 112.0 mm (4.41 in) of the cylinder bore and 107.0 mm (4.21 in) of the piston stroke. This engine produced 68.3 PS (50.2 kW; 67.3 HP) at 2,100 rpm of PTO output power (tested).
  • Ford. It is a 4.2 L, 4,195 cm2, (256.0 cu·in) four-cylinder natural aspirated diesel engine. The cylinder bore is 112.0 mm (4.41 in) and the piston stroke is 107.0 mm (4.21 in). This engine produced 68.3 PS (50.2 kW; 67.3 HP) at 2,100 rpm of PTO output power (tested).

The Ford 5000 is equipped with the power assist (Ford 5100) or hydrostatic power (Ford 5200) steering, differential mechanical wet disc brakes, Open operator station. and 75.7 liters (20 US gal.; 16.7 Imp. gal) fuel tank. This tractor could be equipped with the Ford 772 loader.
