John Deere GT245

The John Deere GT245 is a lawn and garden tractor from the John Deere GT-series. The John Deere GT245 garden tractor was produced at the John Deere Horicon Works plant (Horicon, Wisconsin, USA) from 2002 to 2005.

The John Deere GT245 Kawasaki FH601V gasoline engine. It is a 675 cc, (41.2 cu-in) V-twin 90° air-cooled four-stroke engine with a vertical PTO shaft. The engine is equipped with twin barrel, float type carburetor with fixed main jet; pulse type fuel pump and flywheel magneto transistor type ignition system. Cylinder bore and piston stroke are 72.5 mm (2.85 in) and 76.0 mm (2.99 in), respectively. Compression ratio rating is 8.1:1. The Kawasaki FH601V produced 20.0 HP (14.9 kW) at 3,600 rpm and 50.2 Nm (5.1 kg·m; 37.0 ft·lb) at 2,400 rpm of torque.

The John Deere GT245 is equipped with Tuff Torq K71 hydrostatic transmission (infinite forward and reverse gears), wet disc brakes, and manual sector-and-pinion steering. This lawn tractor used open operator station and 10.4 L (2.75 gallons) fuel tank.
