John Deere GX255

The John Deere GX255 is a 2WD lawn and garden tractor from the GX series of the John Deere garden tractors. It has a V-twin 90° Kawasaki FH601V vertical engine and Tuff Torq K71C hydrostatic transmission. The John Deere GX255 garden tractor was manufactured in Horicon, Wisconsin, USA from 2004 to 2005.

The John Deere GX255 used Kawasaki FH601V engine, it is a 675 cc, (41.2 cu-in) V-twin 90° air-cooled four-stroke gasoline engine with a vertical PTO-shaft. This engine is equipped with twin barrel, float type carburetor with fixed main jet; pulse type fuel pump and flywheel magneto transistor type ignition system.

Cylinder bore and piston stroke are 72.5 mm (2.85 in) and 76.0 mm (2.99 in), respectively. Compression ratio rating is 8.1:1. The Kawasaki FH601V produced 20.0 HP (14.9 kW) at 3,600 rpm and 50.2 Nm (5.1 kg·m; 37.0 ft·lb) at 2,400 rpm of torque.

The John Deere GX255 lawn tractor is equipped with Tuff Torq K71C hydrostatic transmission (infinite forward and reverse gears), power steering and wet disc brakes. This tractor used open operator station. The JD GX255 also features an electric starter and a 10.4 L (2.75-gallon) fuel tank.
