The John Deere STX46 is a 2WD lawn tractor from the STX series. This tractor was manufactured by John Deere in Horicon, Wisconsin, USA from 1995 to 1997.
The John Deere STX46 used one of two engines: a 397 cc (24.2 cu·in) single-cylinder gasoline engine or a 426 cc (26.0 cu·in) single-cylinder gasoline engine and one of two transmissions: a belt-driven hydrostatic transmission with infinite forward and reverse gears or a belt-driven gear transmission with 5 forward and 1 reverse gear.

- Kohler CV15S (1996-1997). It is a 0.4 L, 426 cm2, (26.0 cu·in) single-cylinder natural aspirated gasoline engine. The cylinder bore is 90.0 mm (3.54 in) and the piston stroke is 6.7 mm (0.26 in). This engine produced 15.2 PS (11.2 kW; 15.0 HP) of output power.
