The John Deere X540 is a lawn and garden tractor from the John Deere X-series. The John Deere X540 garden tractor was produced from 2006 to 2014.
This tractor used the Kawasaki FD731V vertical engine. The Kawasaki FD731V is a 675 cc, 41.20 cu-in V-twin 90° liquid-cooled 4-stroke internal combustion small gasoline motor with a vertical shaft.
