DGS6500The Craftsman DGS6500 is a 2WD garden tractor from the DGS series. This tractor was manufactured by AYP for distributor Craftsman (a part of Sears) during 2008. The Craftsman DGS6500 is equipped with a 0.7 L (44.2 cu·in) two-cylinder gasoline engine and a gear type transmission with 6 forward and 1 reverse gears or belt-driven hydrostatic transmission with infinite forward and reverse gears.

The Craftsman garden tractor used the Kohler SV735 engine. It is a 0.7 L, 725 cm2, (44.2 cu·in) V-twin natural aspirated gasoline engine with 83.0 mm (3.27 in) of the cylinder bore and 67.0 mm (2.64 in) of the piston stroke. The Craftsman DGS6500 is equipped with manual sector and pinion steering, mechanical disc brakes, open operator station and 15.1 liters (4 US gal.; 3.3 Imp. gal) fuel tank and mid-mount Craftsman 54 inches (1,370 mm) or 48 inches (1,210 mm) mower deck with 3-blade and manual lift.
