International Harvester 766The International Harvester 766 is a 2WD row-crop tractor from the 66 series. This tractor was manufactured by International Harvester in Rock Island, Illinois, USA from 1971 to 1976.

The International Harvester 766 is equipped with one of two engines: a 6.4 L (391.0 cu·in) six-cylinder gasoline engine or a 5.9 L (359.9 cu·in) six-cylinder gasoline engine and one of two transmissions: a sliding gear transmission with 8 forward and 4 reverse gears and dry disc clutch or a partial power shift transmission with 16 forward and 8 reverse gears and dry disc clutch.

The tractor could be equipped with the following engines:

  • International Harvester D360. It is a 5.9 L, 5,898 cm2, (359.9 cu·in) six-cylinder natural aspirated gasoline engine. The cylinder bore is 98.0 mm (3.86 in) and the piston stroke is 129.0 mm (5.08 in). The compression ratio rating is 17.0:1.

The International Harvester 766 is equipped with hydrostatic power steering, hydraulic dry disc brakes, Open operator station or Cab (optional) and 140.0 liters (37 US gal, 30.8 Imp. gal) fuel tank.
