The International Harvester Hydro 84 is a 2WD/4WD utility tractor from the 84 series. This tractor was manufactured by International Harvester in Doncaster, England from 1978 to 1983. The International Harvester Hydro 84 is equipped with a 4.0 L (246.0 cu·in) four-cylinder diesel engine and a hydrostatic transmission with infinite (2-range) forward and reverse gears.
The IH Hydro 84 utility tractor used the International Harvester D246 engine. It is a 4.0 L, 4,031 cm2, (246.0 cu·in) four-cylinder natural aspirated diesel engine with 100.0 mm (3.94 in) of the cylinder bore and 129.0 mm (5.08 in) of the piston stroke. The compression ratio rating is 15.5:1. This engine produced 59.6 PS (43.8 kW; 58.7 HP) at 2,400 rpm of PTO output power.
The Hydro 84 is equipped with power steering, independent hydraulic wet disc brakes, open operator station, ROPS canopy or cab optional and 75.7 liters (20 US gal.; 16.7 Imp. gal) fuel tank.
