  • Continential E242. It is a 4.0 L, 3,966 cm2, (242.0 cu·in) four-cylinder natural aspirated gasoline/LP-gas engine. The cylinder bore is 98.0 mm (3.86 in) and the piston stroke is 130.0 mm (5.12 in). The compression ratio rating is 7.35:1 for gasoline version or 8.8:1 for LP-gas version.
  • Continential. It is a 4.5 L, 4,531 cm2, (276.5 cu·in) four-cylinder natural aspirated diesel engine. The cylinder bore is 102.0 mm (4.0 in) and the piston stroke is 140.0 mm (5.50 in). The compression ratio rating is 15.2:1.

The MF 85 is equipped with power steering, mechanical disc brakes, open operator station and 87.1 liters (23 US gal.; 19.2 Imp. gal) fuel tank.
