The CaseIH Farmall DX55 is a 2WD or 4WD compact utility tractor from the DX series. This tractor was manufactured by Shibaura in Japan for CaseIH from 2004 to 2008. The Case IH DX55 is equipped with a 2.2 L (135.3 cu·in) four-cylinder diesel engine and one of two transmissions: a synchronized shuttle transmission with 12 forward and 12 reverse gears or a power shuttle transmission with 12 forward and 12 reverse gears.
The Farmall DX55 compact utility tractor used the Shibaura engine. It is a 2.2 L, 2,217 cm2, (135.3 cu·in) four-cylinder turbocharged diesel engine with 84.0 mm (3.31 in) of the cylinder bore and 100.0 mm (3.94 in) of the piston stroke. The compression ratio rating is 22.4:1. This engine produced 55.8 PS (41.0 kW; 55.0 HP) at 2,700 rpm of output power.
The CaseIH Farmall DX55 is equipped with hydrostatic power steering, independent mechanical wet disc brakes, two-post foldable ROPS, and 51.1 liters (13.5 US gal.; 11.2 Imp. gal) fuel tank.
