Ford 1520The Ford 1520 is a 2WD or 4WD compact utility tractor from the Twenty Compact series. This tractor was manufactured by Shibaura for Ford in Japan from 1987 to 1995. The Ford 1520 is equipped with a 1.3 L three-cylinder diesel engine and one of two transmissions: gear type transmission with 9 forward and 3 reverse gears or hydrostatic transmission with infinite forward and reverse.

The Ford 1520 compact utility tractor used the Shibaura J843 engine. It is a 1.3 L, 1330 cm2, (81.2 cu·in) three-cylinder natural aspirated diesel engine with 84.0 mm (3.31 in) of the cylinder bore and 80.0 mm (3.15 in) of the piston stroke. The compression ratio rating is 22.0:1. This engine produced 22.3 PS (16.4 kW; 22.0 HP) of net output power.

The Ford 1520 is equipped with power steering, wet disc brakes, open operator station with two-post ROPS and 27.0 liters (7.1 US gal.; 5.9 Imp. gal) fuel tank.

  1. I just bought one of these 1520’s . Just blew a line on the side by the starter looks like transmission fluid pouring out. Is it hyd or trans fluid? Line is a two part line with a small rubber hose connecting them
