The J.I. Case 580C industrial tractor used the J.I. Case G207D engine. It is a 3.4 L, 3,392 cm2, (207.0 cu·in) four-cylinder natural aspirated diesel engine with 101.6 mm (4 in) of the cylinder bore and 105.0 mm (4.13 in) of the piston stroke. The compression ratio rating is 17.0:1. This engine produced 50.7 PS (37.3 kW; 50.0 HP) at 2,100 rpm of net output power.

The J.I. Case 580C is equipped with hydrostatic power steering, and Four-post ROPS or cab (optional).
