John Deere 2020The John Deere 2020 is a 2WD row-crop tractor from the New Generation series. This tractor was manufactured by John Deere in Dubuque, Iowa, USA, and in Mexico from 1965 to 1971.

The John Deere 2020 is equipped with one of two engines: a 3.0 L (180.4 cu·in) four-cylinder gasoline engine or a 3.3 L (201.8 cu·in) four-cylinder diesel engine and one of three transmissions: an unsynchronized gear transmission with dry disc clutch and 8 forward and 4 reverse gears, a two-speed power shift transmission with dry disc clutch and 16 forward and 8 reverse gears or a power shuttle transmission with 8 forward and 4 reverse gears.

The tractor could be equipped with the following engines:

  • John Deere. It is a 3.0 L, 2,957 cm2, (180.4 cu·in) four-cylinder natural aspirated gasoline engine with 98.0 mm (3.86 in) of the cylinder bore and 98.0 mm (3.86 in) of the piston stroke. The compression ratio rating is 7.5:1.
  • John Deere. It is a 3.3 L, 3,307 cm2, (201.8 cu·in) four-cylinder natural aspirated diesel engine. The cylinder bore is 98.0 mm (3.86 in) and the piston stroke is 109.0 mm (4.29 in). The compression ratio rating is 16.3:1. This engine produced 60.8 PS (44.7 kW; 60.0 HP) at 2,500 rpm of output power.

The JD 2020 is equipped with power assist steering, differential hydraulic wet disc brakes, open operator station, and 73.8 liters (19.5 US gal.; 16.2 Imp. gal) fuel tank.
