The John Deere 2750 is equipped with a 3.9 L (239.0 cu·in) four-cylinder diesel engine and one of three transmissions: a partially synchronized transmission with 8 forward and 4 reverse gears, a partial powershift transmission with 16 forward and 8 reverse gears or a partially synchronized transmission with 12 forward and 8 reverse gears.

The compression ratio rating is 16.8:1. This engine produced 76 PS (55.9 kW; 75.0 HP) at 2,500 rpm of PTO output power.

The John Deere 2750 is equipped with hydrostatic power steering, differential hydraulic wet disc brakes, two-post ROPS, or Sound-Gard cab with available heat and air-conditioning, and 98.5 liters (26 US gal.; 21.7 Imp. gal) fuel tank.
