This second generation was manufactured from 2012 to 2014. The JD 5075M is equipped with a 3.0 L (186.0 cu·in) five-cylinder diesel engine and one of three transmissions: a partially synchronized transmission with 12 forward and 4 reverse gears, a partially synchronized with power shuttle transmission with 16 forward and 16 reverse gears or a partially synchronized transmission with 32 forward and 16 reverse gears.

It is a 3.0 L, 3,049 cm2, (186.1 cu·in) five-cylinder turbocharged diesel engine with 86.0 mm (3.39 in) of the cylinder bore and 105.0 mm (4.13 in) of the piston stroke. This engine produced 76 PS (55.9 kW; 75 HP) at 2,200 rpm of output power.

The John Deere 5075M is equipped with power steering, hydraulic wet disc brakes, two-post foldable ROPS with flat operation platform, isolated platform, cab or deluxe cab (optional) and 79.5 liters (21 US gal.; 17.5 Imp. gal) fuel tank for the ROPS version or 113.6 liters (30 US gal, 25 Imp. gal) for the cab version.
