John Deere GT235The John Deere GT235 is a 2WD lawn and garden tractor from the GT200 series. This tractor was manufactured by the John Deere in Horicon, Wisconsin, USA from 1999 to 2005.

The John Deere GT235 is equipped with one of two engines: Briggs & Stratton 350777 V-twin gasoline engine (until 2003, serial number 090000) or Kawasaki FH580V V-twin gasoline engine (from 2003 to the end of production) and hydrostatic transmission with infinite forward and reverse gears. The GT235E version (2002-2003), offered an onboard generator system that provided continuous 1000 Watt power at 120V.

The tractor could be equipped with the following engines:

  • Briggs & Stratton 350777. It is a 0.6 L, 570 cm2, (34.8 cu·in) V-twin natural aspirated gasoline engine with 72.0 mm (2.83 in) of the cylinder bore and 70.0 mm (2.76 in) of the piston stroke. This engine produced 18.2 PS (13.4 kW; 18.0 HP) of maximum output power.
  • Kawasaki FH580V. It is a 0.6 L, 570 cm2, (34.8 cu·in) V-twin natural aspirated gasoline engine. The cylinder bore is 74.0 mm (2.91 in) and the piston stroke is 68.0 mm (2.68 in). This engine produced 18.2 PS (13.4 kW; 18.0 HP) of maximum output power.

The JD GT235 is equipped with the manual sector and pinion steering, wet disc brakes, open operator station, and 10.4 liters (2.7 US gal.; 2.3 Imp. gal) fuel tank.

Following attachments are available for the John Deere GT235 garden tractor:

  • John Deere 48-inch mower deck – mid-mount 48-in deck (1,210 mm) deck with 3-blades;
  • John Deere blade – front-mount 46 in (1,160 mm) blade with manual lift;
  • John Deere snow blower – front-mount single-stage snow blower with 42 in (1,060 mm) clearing width and manual lift;
