John Deere X300RThe John Deere X300R is a rear-discharge lawnmower from the John Deere X-series. The John Deere X300r garden tractor was produced at the John Deere Horicon Works plant (Horicon, Wisconsin, USA) from 2007 to 2015. During the production period, the JD X300R was equipped with different engines: Kawasaki FH491V, FS541V, FS600V.

Kawasaki FH491V. The Kawasaki FH491V is a 472 cc (28.8 cu.in.) V-twin 90° liquid-cooled 4-stroke internal combustion gasoline engine with vertical PTO-shaft. The Kawasaki FH491V has cast iron cylinder liners and overhead valves (OHV). The engine is equipped with float type carburetor with fixed main jet; pulse type fuel pump and electronic spark ignition system. The Kawasaki FH491V uses a full pressure lubrication system with spin-on oil filter. Cylinder bore and the piston stroke is 68 mm (2.68 in) and 65 mm (2.56 in), respectively. The Kawasaki FH491V produced 17.3 PS (12.7 kW; 17.0 HP) at 3,600 rpm of horsepower.

Kawasaki FS541V The FS541V (603 cc, 36.8 cu.in.) engine has 90° V-twin design with vertical PTO shaft, overhead V-valves, cast iron cylinder liners spherical combustion chamber. The engine is equipped with the electronic spark ignition system, internally vented carburetor with fuel shut-off solenoid, rotating grass chopper screen, integrated clean out ports. The motor uses a high-performance lubrication system and dual element air filter. It has a 73.0 mm (2.87 in) cylinder bore and 72.0 mm (2.83 in) piston stroke. Compression ratio rating is 8.1:1. The Kawasaki FS541V produced 18.8 PS (13.8 kW; 18.5 HP) at 3,600 rpm.

Kawasaki FS600V The FS600V (603 cc, 36.8 cu.in.) has 90 degrees V-twin design with vertical PTO shaft, overhead V-valves, cast iron cylinder liners, and spherical combustion chamber. The engine is equipped with the electronic spark ignition system, internally vented carburetor with fuel shut-off solenoid, rotating grass chopper screen, integrated clean out ports. The motor uses a high-performance lubrication system and dual element air filter. It has a 73.0 mm (2.87 in) cylinder bore and 72.0 mm (2.83 in) piston stroke. Compression ratio rating is 8.1:1. This engine produced 18.8 PS (13.8 kW; 18.5 HP) at 3,600 rpm of maximum horsepower.

The John Deere X300R is equipped with the transaxle Kanzaki, variable speed hydrostatic transmission K46 (infinite forward and reverse) and manual steering. This tractor used open operator station and 9.1 L (4.2 US gal) fuel tank.
