The John Deere X730 is a two-wheel-drive (2WD) lawn and garden tractor from the John Deere X-series. The John Deere X730 garden tractor has been produced at the John Deere Horicon Works plant (Horicon, Wisconsin, USA) from 2013.
The John Deere X730 lawn tractor used the Kawasaki FD750D EFI engine. The Kawasaki FD750D DFI is a 0.75 l (745 cc, 45.46 cu-in) V-twin 90° liquid-cooled 4-stroke internal combustion small gasoline motor with horizontal shaft. The FD711D DFI has OHV (overhead valve design); cast-iron cylinder liners; multi-port digital fuel injection; high-pressure transistorized fuel pump; flywheel magneto transistor ignition system. Cylinder bore and piston stroke are 78.0 mm (3.07 in) and 78.0 mm (3.07 in), respectively. The compression ratio rating is 8.5:1. The Kawasaki FD750D EFI produced 25.5 HP (19.0 kW) at 3,600 rpm.
The John Deere X730 tractor is equipped with the Tuff-Torq K90 two-pedal foot control shaft-driven hydrostatic transmission (infinite forward and reverse), internal wet disc brakes, hydrostatic power steering. This tractor used an open operator station and a 19.7 L (5.2 US gal) fuel tank.
