The John Deere RX63 lawn mower used an air-cooled single-cylinder four-stroke Kawasaki FA210 gasoline engine with horizontal PTO shaft and manual recoil starter. The FA210 engine has a slide-valve (L-head) design; pulse pump type carburetor and flywheel magneto ignition system. Bore and stroke are 72.0 mm (2.83 in) and 51.0 mm (2.01 in), respectively.
