The Kubota L3540 is a 4WD compact utility tractor from the L40 series. This tractor was manufactured by the Kubota from 2007 to 2013. The Kubota L3540 is equipped with a 1.8 L three-cylinder diesel engine and one of two transmissions: hydrostatic transmission with infinite (3-range) forward and reverse gears or glide shift (GST) transmission 12 forward and 8 reverse gears.
The Kubota L3540 compact utility tractor used the Kubota D1803-M-E2 engine. It is a 1.8 L, 1,826 cm2, (111.4 cu·in) three-cylinder natural aspirated diesel engine with 87.0 mm (3.43 in) of the cylinder bore and 102.4 mm (4.03 in) of the piston stroke. The Kubota L3540 is equipped with hydrostatic power steering, wet disc type brakes, open operator station with two-post ROPS or Grand cab (L3540HSTC) and 44.0 liters (11.6 US gal.; 9.7 Imp. gal) fuel tank.
