The Kubota M108S is equipped with a 3.8 L (230.0 cu·in) four-cylinder diesel engine and one of two transmissions: a partially synchronized transmission with wet disc clutch and 16 forward and 16 reverse gears (24 forward and 24 reverse gears with creeper) or a partial power shift transmission with 32 forward and 32 reverse gears (48 forward and 48 reverse gears with creeper).

The Kubota M108S is equipped with hydrostatic power steering, hydraulic wet disc brakes, two-post foldable ROPS, or the Cab with heat and air-conditioning (optional), and 175.0 liters (46.2 US gal.; 38.5 Imp. gal) fuel tank.
