The Kubota M8540 is a 2WD or 4WD utility tractor from the M series. This tractor was manufactured by the Kubota from 2007 to 2013. The Kubota M8540 is equipped with a 3.8 L four-cylinder turbocharged diesel engine and one of three transmissions: partially synchronized transmission with dry plate clutch (8 forward and 8 reverse gears), power shuttle transmission (8 forward and 8 reverse gears) or power shuttle transmission (12 forward and 12 reverse gears).
The Kubota M8540 utility tractor used the Kubota V3800-DI-T engine. It is a 3.8 L, 3,769 cm2, (230.0 cu·in) four-cylinder turbocharged diesel engine with 100.0 mm (3.94 in) of the cylinder bore and 120.0 mm (4.72 in) of the piston stroke. This engine produced 86.8 PS (63.8 kW; 85.6 HP) at 2,600 rpm of maximum output power.
The Kubota M8540 is equipped with hydrostatic power steering, hydraulic wet disc brakes, open operator station with two-post foldable ROPS (canopy was available as an option) or Ultra Grand Cab with heat and air-conditioning (option) and 90.0 liters (23.8 US gal.; 19.8 Imp. gal) fuel tank for version with ROPS or 110.0 liters (29.1 US gal, 24.2 Imp. gal) for version with Cab.
