The Kubota B2530 is equipped with 1.1 L three-cylinder diesel engine and and one of two transmissions: gear shift transmission with dry single-plate type clutch (9 forward and 9 reverse gears) or hydrostatic transmission (B2530HST) with infinite 3-range forward and reverse gears.

The Kubota B2530 compact utility tractor used the Kubota D1105-E2-D21-EU engine. It is a 1.1 L, 1,123 cm2, (68.5 cu·in) three-cylinder natural aspirated diesel engine with 78.0 mm (3.07 in) of the cylinder bore and 78.4 mm (3.09 in) of the piston stroke. This engine produced 25 PS (18.4 kW; 24.7 HP) of gross horsepower and 20.0 PS (14.7 KW; 19.7 HP) of PTO power. The Kubota D1105 diesel engine used a forced lubrication system by a trochoidal pump and forced a circulation cooling system with a water pump.

The Kubota B2530 is equipped with hydrostatic power steering, wet disc type brakes, open operator station with two-post ROPS (cabin with air-conditioning was available as aa option) and 28.0 liters (7.4 US gal.; 6.2 Imp. gal) fuel tank.
