The compression ratio rating is 8.5:1 for gasoline version or 9.0:1 for LP-gas version. The gasoline version produced 60.8 PS (44.7 kW; 60 HP) of PTO output power and LP-gas version 56.8 PS (41.8 KW; 56.0 HP) of PTO output power.
The Oliver 1600 A is equipped with manual or power-assist (optional) steering, differential mechanical dry disc brakes, and open operator station.
