The Hinomoto E28 is the same tractor as the Allis-Chalmers 5030, Simplicity 9528 and Massey-Ferguson 220. This utility tractor is equipped with two-cylinders liquid-cooled Toyosha S148 diesel engine with 1.5 L, 1,477 cc (90.1 cu-in) of displacement and gear transmission with 12 forward and 3 reverse gears.
The Hinomoto E28 tractor used a two-cylinder naturally-aspirated liquid-cooled the Toyosha S148 diesel engine with 97.0 mm (3.82 in) of the cylinder bore and 100.0 mm (3.94 in) of the piston stroke. Compression ratio rating is 23:1. It produced 28.0 HP (20.9 kW) of maximum powers or 26.0 HP (19.4 kW) of horsepower on PTO-shaft.
