Massey Ferguson 50The Massey Ferguson 50 is a 2WD farm tractor manufactured by Massey Ferguson from 1957 to 1964.

The Massey Ferguson 50 is equipped with one of two engines: a 2.5 L (152.7 cu·in) three-cylinder diesel engine or a 2.2 L (134.0 cu·in) four-cylinder gasoline/LP-gas engine and one of two transmissions: a gear type transmission with 6 forward and 2 reverse gears and with dry disc clutch or a two-speed power shift transmission with 12 forward and 4 reverse gears.

The tractor could be equipped with the following engines:

  • Perkins. It is a 2.5 L, 2,502 cm2, (152.7 cu·in) three-cylinder natural aspirated diesel engine with 91.0 mm (3.58 in) of the cylinder bore and 127.0 mm (5 in) of the piston stroke. The compression ratio rating is 17.4:1.
  • Continental Z-134. It is a 2.2 L, 2,196 cm2, (134.0 cu·in) four-cylinder natural aspirated gasoline/LP-gas engine. The cylinder bore is 84.0 mm (3.31 in) and the piston stroke is 98.0 mm (3.86 in). The compression ratio rating is 6.6:1 for gasoline version or 8.0:1 for LP-gas version.

The MF 50 is equipped with manual or power (option) steering, differential mechanical expanding shoe brakes, open operator station, and 45.4 liters (12 US gal.; 10 Imp. gal) fuel tank for diesel fuel or 64.3 liters (17 US gal, 14.1 Imp. gal) for gasoline.
