New Holland 1720The New Holland 1720 is a 2WD or 4WD compact utility tractor from the Twenty Compact series. This tractor was manufactured by Shibaura for New Holland in Japan from 1996 to 2000. The New Holland 1720 is equipped with a 1.5 L three-cylinder diesel engine and one of two transmissions: gear type transmission with 12 forward and 4 reverse gears or mechanical shuttle transmission with 12 forward and 12 reverse gears.

The NH 1720 compact utility tractor used the Shibaura N843 engine. It is a 1.5 L, 1,496 cm2, (91.3 cu·in) three-cylinder natural aspirated diesel engine with 84.0 mm (3.31 in) of the cylinder bore and 90.0 mm (3.54 in) of the piston stroke. The compression ratio rating is 22.5:1. This engine produced 28.2 PS (20.7 kW; 27.8 HP) at 2,500 rpm of net output power.

The New Holland 1720 is equipped with power steering, wet disc brakes, an open operator station with two-post ROPS, and 32.0 liters (8.5 US gal.; 7 Imp. gal) fuel tank.
