The New Holland TC40 is a 2WD or 4WD compact utility tractor from the TC series. This tractor was manufactured by New Holland from 2001 to 2003. The New Holland TC40 is equipped with a 2.0 L (121.7 cu·in) four-cylinder diesel engine and one of two transmissions: a synch shuttle transmission with 12 forward and 12 reverse gears or a hydrostatic transmission with infinite (2-range) forward and reverse gears.
This tractor was available in two variants: the TC40 – base model and the TC40D – deluxe model.
The New Holland TC40 compact utility tractor used the Shibaura N844 engine. It is a 2.0 L, 1,994 cm2, (121.7 cu·in) four-cylinder natural aspirated diesel engine with 84.0 mm (3.31 in) of the cylinder bore and 90.0 mm (3.54 in) of the piston stroke. The compression ratio rating is 22.5:1. This engine produced 40.5 PS (29.8 kW; 40.0 HP) at 2,600 rpm of output power.
The New Holland TC40 is equipped with power steering, two-post foldable ROPS, and 27.0 liters (7.1 US gal.; 5.9 Imp. gal) fuel tank.
