John Deere 3020 (1964-1968)The John Deere 3020 is a 2WD row-crop tractor from the New Generation series. This tractor was manufactured by the John Deere in Waterloo, Iowa, USA and Mexico from 1964 to 1972. The first generation was manufactured from 1964 to 1968, and the second generation from 1969 to 1972.

The John Deere 3020 is equipped with one of three engines: a 3.7 L four-cylinder gasoline engine, a 3.7 L four-cylinder LP-gas engine or a 4.4 L four-cylinder diesel engine and one of two transmissions: partially synchronized transmission with dry disc clutch and 8 forward and 2 reverse gears or full powershift transmission with hydraulic wet disc clutch and 8 forward and 4 reverse gears.

  • John Deere diesel engine. It is a 4.4 L, 4,425 cm2, (270.0 cu·in) four-cylinder natural aspirated diesel engine. The cylinder bore is 108.0 mm (4.25 in) and the piston stroke is 121.0 mm (4.76 in). The compression ratio ratin is 16.5:1.
  • John Deere LP-gas engine. It is a 3.7 L, 3,720 cm2, (227.0 cu·in) four-cylinder natural aspirated gasoline engine with 108.0 mm (4.25 in) of the cylinder bore and 102.0 mm (4.02 in) of the piston stroke. The compression ratio rating is 9.0:1.

The JD 3020 is equipped with power-assist steering, differential hydraulic wet disc brakes, open operator station, and 109.8 liters (29 US gal.; 24.2 Imp. gal) fuel tank.
