John Deere 4700The John Deere 4700 is a 4WD compact utility tractor from the 4000 Compact series. This tractor was manufactured by the John Deere in Augusta, Georgia, USA from 2000 to 2003. The John Deere 4700 is equipped with a 2.2 L four-cylinder diesel engine and partially synchronized power shuttle transmission with 12 forward and 12 reverse gears (model with creeper has 24 forward and 24 reverse gears) or hydrostatic transmission with infinite (3-range) forward and reverse gears.

The JD 4700 compact utility tractor used the Yanmar 4TNE88 engine. It is a 2.2 L, 2,196 cm2, (134.0 cu·in) four-cylinder natural aspirated diesel engine with 88.0 mm (3.46 in) of the cylinder bore and 90.0 mm (3.54 in) of the piston stroke. The compression ratio rating is 18.0:1. This engine produced 48.7 PS (35.8 kW; 48.0 HP) at 2,600 rpm of horsepower and 146.4 N·m (14.9 kg·m, 107.9 ft·lb) at 1,700 rpm of torque.

The John Deere 4700 is equipped with power steering, wet disc brakes, open operator station with two-post ROPS and 47.5 liters (12.5 US gal.; 10.4 Imp. gal) fuel tank.
