The John Deere 4700 is a 4WD compact utility tractor from the 4000 Compact series. This tractor was manufactured by the John Deere in Augusta, Georgia, USA from 2000 to 2003. The John Deere 4700 is equipped with a 2.2 L four-cylinder diesel engine and partially synchronized power shuttle transmission with 12 forward and 12 reverse gears (model with creeper has 24 forward and 24 reverse gears) or hydrostatic transmission with infinite (3-range) forward and reverse gears.
