John Deere AR (1950-1953)The John Deere AR is a 2WD standard-tread tractor manufactured by John Deere in Waterloo, Iowa, USA from 1935 to 1953.

The John Deere AR is equipped with one of two engines: a 5.3 L (321.0 cu·in) two-cylinder gasoline engine or a 5.3 L (321.0 cu·in) two-cylinder kerosene engine and a unsynchronized gear transmission with 6 forward and 1 reverse gears.

The AR and AO models was the “regular”, or fixed-tread version of the model A.

The tractor could be equipped with the following engines:

  • John Deere. It is a 5.3 L, 5,260 cm2, (321.0 cu·in) two-cylinder natural aspirated gasoline engine with 140.0 mm (5.51 in) of the cylinder bore and 171.0 mm (6.73 in) of the piston stroke. The compression ratio rating is 5.6:1. This engine produced 35.4 PS (26.0 kW; 34.9 HP) at 975 rpm of output power.
  • John Deere. It is a 5.3 L, 5,260 cm2, (321.0 cu·in) two-cylinder natural aspirated kerosene engine. The cylinder bore is 140.0 mm (5.51 in) and the piston stroke is 171.0 mm (6.73 in). The compression ratio rating is 4.5:1. This engine produced 27.5 PS (20.2 kW; 27.1 HP) at 975 rpm of output power.

The JD AR is equipped with manual steering, mechanical shoe brakes, open operator station and 75.7 liters (20 US gal.; 16.7 Imp. gal) fuel tank.
