John Deere 2950The John Deere 2950 is a 2WD or 4WD utility tractor from the 2050 series. This tractor was manufactured by John Deere in Mannheim, Baden-Württemberg, Germany from 1983 to 1988. The John Deere 2950 is equipped with a 5.9 L (359.0 cu·in) six-cylinder diesel engine and one of two transmissions: a partial power shift transmission with 16 forward and 8 reverse gears or a partially synchronized transmission with 12 forward and 8 reverse gears.

The John Deere 2950 utility tractor used the John Deere engine. It is a 5.9 L, 5,883 cm2, (359.0 cu·in) six-cylinder natural aspirated diesel engine with 106.0 mm (4.17 in) of the cylinder bore and 110.0 mm (4.33 in) of the piston stroke. The compression ratio rating is 17.4:1. This engine produced 86.2 PS (63.4 kW; 85.0 HP) at 2,500 rpm of PTO output power.

The JD 2950 is equipped with power steering, differential hydraulic wet disc brakes, two-post ROPS (canopy or Sound-Gard cab with heat and air-conditioning was available as an option), and 122.3 liters (32.3 US gal.; 26.9 Imp. gal) fuel tank.
