The Mahindra 3550 is a 4WD compact utility tractor from the 3500 series. This tractor has been manufactured by Mahindra since 2015. The Mahindra 3550 is equipped with a 2.7 L (166.6 cu·in) four-cylinder diesel engine and one of two transmissions: a power shuttle transmission with wet disc clutch and 12 forward and 12 reverse gears or a hydrostatic transmission with infinite (3-range) forward and reverse gears.
The Mahindra 3550 compact utility tractor used the Mahindra engine. It is a 2.7 L, 2,730 cm2, (166.6 cu·in) four-cylinder natural aspirated diesel engine with 89.0 mm (3.5 in) of the cylinder bore and 110.0 mm (4.33 in) of the piston stroke. The compression ratio rating is 19.5:1. This engine produced 49.6 PS (36.5 KW; 48.9 HP) at 2,800 rpm of output power and 140.5 N·m (14.3 kg·m, 103.5 ft·lb) at 1,800 rpm.
The Mahindra 3550 is equipped with hydrostatic power steering, wet disc brakes, two-post foldable ROPS or cab with air-conditioning (optional) and 42.8 liters (11.3 US gal.; 9.4 Imp. gal) fuel tank.
