The Wheel Horse Raider 10 is equipped with one of two engines: a 0.4 L, 388 cm2 (23.7 cu·in) single-cylinder gasoline engine or a 0.4 L, 390 cm2, (23.8 cu·in) single-cylinder gasoline engine and one of two transmissions: a gear type transmission with 3 forward and 1 reverse gear or a belt-driven gear transmission with 6 forward and 2 reverse gears.

The tractor could be equipped with the following engines:

  • Techumseh HH-100 (Until 1972). It is a 0.4 L, 388 cm2, (23.7 cu·in) single-cylinder natural aspirated gasoline engine with 84.0 mm (3.31 in) of the cylinder bore and 70.0 mm (2.76 in) of the piston stroke. This engine produced 10.2 PS (7.5 kW; 10.0 HP) at 3,600 rpm of output power.
  • Kohler K241S (1972 to 1975). It is a 0.4 L, 390 cm2, (23.8 cu·in) single-cylinder natural aspirated gasoline engine. The cylinder bore is 83.0 mm (3.27 in) and the piston stroke is 73.0 mm (2.87 in). This engine produced 10.2 PS (7.5 kW; 10.0 HP) at 3,600 rpm of output power.

The Wheel Horse Raider 10 is equipped with manual steering, an open operator station, and 7.6 liters (2 US gal.; 1.7 Imp. gal) fuel tank.
